秋金亭所在地原本是一座崗哨及傘兵坑，昔日是阿兵哥看守軍用車輛及砲車的軍事設施。
地方熱心人士為了感念景大工業股份有限公司創始人之一李秋金先生，特在此捐贈涼亭一座，供遊客及社區民眾休憩使用。在徐徐涼風下，三五好友相聚品茗，別具一番風味，固此景亦名為「松風品茗」。
此區主要有高大優美的黑松、相思樹以及昔日軍方種植的九重葛圍籬，遠眺視野遼闊，心曠神怡。
